FUSION FITNESS

I have been a member of Fusion Fitness for four years now and for good reason. If you are wanting a butt-kicking cardio burst this is the place for you. Every single class is different every single day. The Fusion focus is high energy cardio with muscle toning. My favorites are Drenched, cardio plus heavyweight class. BARRE, a high energy class focused on creating a lean, firm, sculpted body.

Fusion currently has been offering live-streaming classes every day. This makes it easy to roll out of bed and get your cardio every morning. All you have to do is sign up for a class on their website. This is by far my favorite place to work out in Kansas City.

ALO MOVES

I found Alo Moves through an Instagram ad if you can believe that. I kept seeing all these fun ads on my scroll and decided to take the bait and click the link one day. Alo offers the best online yoga, fitness, and meditation classes. You can access thousands of videos from expert instructors in yoga, meditation, HIIT, barre, Pilates, and more.

The classes range anywhere from 15 minutes all the way up to an hour. You can also choose your class-based on your intensity level of beginner to advanced. My favorite classes have been BARRE STRONG, TOTAL BARRE TORCH, and ULTIMATE BARRE BURN. I signed up for the free 14-day trial but will continue when it’s over. I am really enjoying the classes and want to get into some of the series classes.

PELOTON

We have had a Peloton since October and I can say it’s one of the best fitness investments we’ve ever made. Originally, we bought the bike more for my husband but I have enjoyed it just as much. The bike is definitely an investment and one you have to decide if it’s worth the money to you. Along, with the price of the bike you have to commit to a $39 fee for the app each month. This is non-negotiable and something you have to purchase.

What I love about the app though is you can stream to your tv and you have access to hundreds of classes. You can do anything from yoga to strength training to core work. It’s not all about riding the bike. You can even have the app without the bike if you want. Right now, they are offering a free 30-day trial on all the classes. This is a great way to try before you buy. Again, this is an investment but one we are thankful we took.

MELISSA WOOD HEALTH

If you are looking for a way to sculpt long and lean lines without impact, this is the workout for you. Melissa’s motto: This practice isn’t just about building a body you desire; it’s about building a better, stronger relationship with yourself.

Melissa posts a new workout schedule for the week and video every Monday. She gives a list of classes you should take for that week with a link to each class. Most classes consist of pilates/yoga type movements and are under 30 minutes. She does use a combination of your own bodyweight, 1 lb weights, bands, and a few other pieces of equipment. There are two different membership packages based on what you want to pay.

KAYLA ITSINES BBG

Unless you live under a rock, you’ve heard of Kayla Itsines and the BBG program. Kayla is a personal trainer who has built her program through Instagram. There are three programs you can choose from. Everything is done through the app on your phone.

The program is three 28-minute workouts a week, mixed with stretching and some lighter cardio sessions in between. The 28-minute workouts are divided into four 7-minute intervals. I have only ever done a few of her workouts but millions swear by them. I am thinking of starting her next program which starts at the end of June.
