Packing For Paris
Heading to Paris in the Summer but not sure what to pack? Having just come back for a week-long trip myself, here’s how to pack for Paris in July. The weather is usually a little cool in the early morning and late evenings and pretty warm during the middle of the day.
Is July A Good Time To Visit Paris
There’s really not ever a bad time to visit Paris is there? While the weather can be unpredictable in Paris, in July it’s usually a little cool in the mornings and evenings(14°C / 57°F) and warm in the daytime (24°C / 75°F). Taking layers is always a realistic idea to make sure you are comfortable when deciding how to pack for Paris in July.
Although, what could be the worst-case scenario? Having to shop in Paris for new clothes.
How To Pack For Paris?
Basics and neutrals are always a great way to pack for any trip but especially for Paris. You will fit in looking just like a local. Plus, it’s the easiest way to mix and match your suitcase ensuring you have plenty of outfits.
After I put together the agenda for Paris which you can read more about in this post, The Best Way to Plan Your Next Trip to Paris, I started to make a list of what outfits I wanted to wear each day. From here, I came up with a list of items and started to mix and match.
I would also recommend once you’ve decided on your outfits to take pictures of each outfit. This way you remember what you are wearing and don’t get stressed out trying to get dressed each day.
In regards to shoes, make sure they are comfortable and you can walk several miles a day in them. I wore these Sézane sneakers every day and walked around 25,000 steps a day. I never once had a blister or had any rubbing on my heels. Of course, I wore a good footie as well. If we were going to a nice lunch or dinner then I would carry sandals in my bag to change into.
