Where To Buy Gifts
À la Mère de Famille
One of my favorite chocolate shops in Paris. Everything is packaged beautifully and of course, the chocolate tastes incredible. You can choose between mixed bags or put one together yourself. There are multiple locations throughout the city.
Alix D Reynis
A darling store selling everything from porcelain pieces for your home to jewelry. I always find a little keepsake every time I go in here. You can find dishes, vases, candle holders, soap dishes, and more. They also sell these little porcelain wall plates to display French words like cuisine, salle de bain, and more.
Art Museum Gift Shops
One of my favorite places to pick up gifts is the gift shops at the art museums. You can find some unique and of course local gifts to take home. Everything from art books, books about Paris, pictures, candles, and more. I have picked up some great items over the years at the Musée Carnavalet, Pompidou, and of course the D’Orsay.
Arty Dandy
A fun store to find lots of French finds and other European creative treasures. You can find everything from jewelry, watches, shoes, scarves, Hi-Tech accessories, niche perfumes, table accessories, and more. Everything is original and unique. Also has a great selection of gifts for guys as well.
1 Rue de Furstemberg, 75006
Buly 1803
Anything from this gorgeous store would make a wonderful gift. Try the soap, lotion, or any of the perfumes. Tell them it’s a gift and they will hand write in calligraphy the person’s name. I usually go to the store in Saint Germain, but there are a few around the city.
6 Rue Bonaparte, 75006
Café Verlet
The oldest Parisian coffee house still in operation, this charming coffee and tea house has been around since 1880. Buy a bag of coffee beans or tea from here plus one of their cute jute bags. Then stay for some coffee and pastry.
256 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001
City Pharma
The best French Beauty pharmacy in the city. You can stock up on some French favorites for yourself while also grabbing a few gifts like Avène Hand Cream, anything from Caudalíe, and Bioderma Lip Balm.
Des Poivres & Des Epices
A charming spice store located in Saint Germain. The outside exterior is just as picturesque as the inside. All the spices are displayed in beautiful black and white tins. I picked up some pepper last time I was there. The tins also make great gifts for your favorite foodie.
Diptyque
Iconic French parfumeur, visit the original store in Saint Germain and pick up a scent in the form of a candle, soap, or spray you can only find in Paris.
It will make the gift more special. Of course, they also have all the original scents Diptyque is known for. A few of my favorite scents are Ambre, Baies, Figuier, and 34.
34 Bd Saint-Germain, 75005
Galeries Lafayette
The 6th floor of Galeries Lafayette is a treasure trove for someone looking to take home a Parisian souvenir. Here you will find Paris treasures, fashion coffee table books, fun French tech gadgets, and even suitcases to take home all your extra purchases.
Ladurée
You can pick up some wonderful macarons in pretty packaging to take home. Or even try one of their beautiful candles or boxes of tea. There are multiple locations throughout Paris, but I always prefer the one on Rue Bonaparte.
21 Rue Bonaparte, 75006
Le Grand Épicerie
The most glamorous grocery store in Paris is also one of the best places to pick up gifts. You can pick up mustards, jams, cookies, candies, and even French Butter! You can shrinkwrap the butter to bring home, so buy one for yourself and one for a friend.
Marius Fabre
Visit the store to pick up some soap from this famous maker who has been around since 1900. The soap comes in a cute box for gifting. You can also buy a soap dish to accompany the soap, a beautiful display in a kitchen. Everyone loves French soap.
26 Rue de Turenne, 75003
Mariage Frères
This tea house has been around since 1854, and now carries over 500 different varieties of tea. If you know a tea lover, this is the place to come to pick up a little something to take home.
While you’re picking out a gift, ask them to brew you a hot or iced tea while you’re waiting. One of my favorites is the Bleu Des Legendes. There are multiple locations throughout the city.
Marin Montagut
The cutest store by famous French illustrator Marin Montagut. I love everything in here and you can certainly find a charming gift.
Go for one of the notebooks, coffee mugs with famous Parisian streets, or even a bowl with a hand-painted picture of the famous green chairs that are in the many Parisian gardens.
48 Rue Madame, 75006
Ritz Le Comptoir
Madeline’s from the Ritz Paris and famed pastry chef, François Perret. Packaged in a cute signature box and ready for gifting or to eat yourself. My favorite is the caramel, passion, and chocolate Madeline’s.
There are also candles, baking kits, and cookbooks you can buy as well. Or, if you’re a budding pastry chef, you can purchase your own high-end pastry apron.
38 Rue Cambon, 75001
