12 Best Rooftop Bars In Paris

Hotel Raphael Rooftop

In my opinion, one of the most stunning views of the Eiffel Tower and all of Paris can be seen from the Hotel Raphael Rooftop. Located on the 7th floor of the beautiful hotel, the rooftop offers a picturesque 360-degree view.

Check it out when the weather is nice, but don’t forget to make a reservation ahead of time. It’s open from April through September. Be sure to order the champagne to sip on while you dine on delectable Beef Carpaccio and Burrata Cheese with Heirloom Tomatoes.

Rooftop Le Molitor

Rooftop bar in Paris.

For a bar experience with a healthy dose of history, check out the Molitor. It first opened in 1929 to swanky Parisians looking for a place to drink, swim, and socialize. It has since been refurbished with incredible Art Deco architecture that stands out for all the right reasons.

Sip on cocktails or enjoy a meal while you take in views of the iconic outdoor pool and the distant Eiffel Tower. You’ll need a reservation if you’re coming for a meal, or you can walk in and grab a casual drink at the rooftop’s Solarium if that’s more your thing.

ROOF Paris

From spring to autumn, step inside the gorgeous Madame Rêve Hotel and grab a spot high atop the Louvre Post Office building. While breathtaking, the views of St. Eustache church, Notre Dame, and even the Eiffel Tower in the distance, aren’t the only reason to check out ROOF. Mingle amongst locals and visitors, play a game of pool, or take in the sunset from a comfortable lounge chair while sipping on delectable cocktails and Japanese-style finger food.

Dress in “chic, elegant attire” and arrive early to get a table with good views.

Kitchen Garden Rooftop at Brach

The open-air rooftop bar at Brach is a truly unique space among the Paris rooftops. It doubles as the hotel restaurant’s kitchen garden, so the tables are nestled among berries, herbs, and even a chicken coop. Breathe in the smell of fresh lavender as you take in the view over the rooftops. Then, treat yourself to elevated takes on classic cocktails.

The Kitchen Garden Rooftop opens in the spring, but it’s closed from mid-July to late August.

Sequoia Rooftop Bar at the Kimpton St. Honoré

Sequoia is a small bar nestled between Place Vendôme and Opéra Garnier. Despite its size, this rooftop bar offers some of the best views in all of Paris. The staff is pleasantly hospitable, and you’ll find a long list of spritzes that are all equally delicious. Grab a table on a sunny day anytime from spring to autumn.

Heads up: there’s a minimum spend of €40 per head, but with pricey finger food and numerous refreshing drinks, you’ll easily spend more than that.

Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers

For a rooftop bar right in the middle of Paris’ best and most iconic spots, look no further than Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers. While summer crowds can be intense, the expansive space ensures you can still enjoy the stunning views and vibrant atmosphere. Moreover, if you prefer a more intimate setting, many people recommend the Herbarium cocktail bar on the ground floor. Regardless of your choice, people flock here from all over to take in the views, enjoy the ambiance, and sip on the delightful cocktails.

For a sleek and romantic bar experience, visit Terrass. The Shed at the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards

The Shed is one of the smallest rooftop bars in Paris, but it’s well worth visiting. Although situated above the Grands Boulevards, it’s the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle below. You’ll love the well-priced cocktails, divided into three categories based on their alcohol content: No Shed, One Shed, and Two Shed.

The Shed is open from spring to autumn. If you happen to visit during one of Paris’ many rainy days, you can escape to the ground-floor Shell Bar.

Rooftop Bar at Hôtel Dame des Arts

With 360-degree panoramic views of Paris, which include the Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Coeur, and La Défense, the Rooftop Bar atop Hôtel Dame des Arts is one of the best to visit for the sights alone. Although its cocktail menu isn’t as extensive as some of the other bars I’ve included, its signature drinks are noteworthy, to say the least.

Visit anytime between April and October and try the Ipanema for a memorable bar experience.
