My Favorite French-Inspired Blazers To Wear

Blazers are an essential piece in any French woman’s closet and for good reason. A blazer is classic, and timeless, and can instantly elevate an outfit and a great jacket for any season.

I am often asked what my favorite blazers are and where I like to buy them. Today, I am sharing all my favorite Parisian-inspired blazers, what I wear with them, and where I like to purchase them.

What I Wear With My Favorite French Inspired Blazers

During the day, I will wear a white tee, silk top, or even a sweater under my blazers to stay comfortable and casual along with jeans and sneakers or flats. When I want more of a dressed-up look with my blazer then I will often wear a silk cami with heels.

When To Wear A French Inspired Blazer

I honestly don’t think there’s ever a bad time to wear a blazer. They are certainly not just for the office anymore. If you walk down the streets of Paris, you will see women wearing them daily as part of their normal outfits.

I have always loved a great blazer and have been wearing them for as long as I can remember. I prefer to stay with neutral colors of navy, black, and camel. During the fall, I like a great houndstooth or plaid blazer for the season.

My Favorite Blazers

Sézane

Sézane has amazing blazers with incredible quality. I personally think the blazers are reasonably priced for what you get and some of the best around. These three are my favorite French blazers from the brand, which I have owned for a few years.

They are classic, timeless, and incredibly beautiful blazers that I love to wear with jeans and trousers.

Sézane Michele– A gorgeous navy blazer with gold button details, that runs a little oversized. I ordered down a size in this and maybe could have gone two sizes. The blazer is long so if you are more petite, it will hit you lower toward your bottom.

This jacket is hard to tailor because there are three buttons on the cuffs, so it’s not as easy as one without buttons, just an FYI. However, the gold buttons are my favorite detail because it makes the blazer look so chic.

Sézane Christie Jacket– I own this blazer in camel and black colors in my regular size of 6. This is a classic double-breasted blazer, which is lined, and has a single chest pocket.

White Blazers

During spring and summer, I like to bring in a mix of cotton and linen blazers in white. Easy, breezy ones to wear with jeans and even shorts for an elevated look. Some of my favorite places to look for white blazers are Aritzia, Banana Republic, & Other Stories.

Sandro

A beautiful double-breasted navy blazer from Sandro, with gold details and a classic Parisian look. This blazer is a bit more tailored than the Sézane Michele. I have this blazer in the medium size and it fits perfectly, with no tailoring necessary. This was a newer purchase last fall before Paris.
