Spring Pieces I’ve Worn On Repeat

Spring Pieces On Repeat

This spring there’s been several pieces I’ve worn on repeat that have become part of my Spring uniform. These are all items that I’ve invested in and pieces that I would highly recommend.

I’ve discussed in length how I made a decision last year to clean my closet out and focus on quality over quantity. I donated or sold so many pieces and used some of that money to reinvest back into my wardrobe. You can read more about how I approached my closet clean out here.

Now, when I think about pieces I want to buy I make sure they are items that are timeless, neutral, can go easily with other items in my closet, and pieces I can wear for years to come.

I wanted to share with you some pieces I’ve worn all Spring that were definitely worth the investment. It takes a long time to curate a closet you love but I am well on my way with these pieces.

JACKETS

Spring is such transitional weather and a great time to focus on jackets. Our weather has been so up and down this year and I have definitely been wearing my jackets more than I would normally. The number one jacket I have been wearing throughout Spring is my Sèzane Scott Trench ( I sized up in this jacket). It goes with everything and I’ve worn it dressed up with pants and a dress and more casual with jeans.

The Banana Republic white blazer was purchased before I went to Paris. I wanted a lighter blazer to wear with jeans and dresses. Plus, I love the gold button detail(I went up a size on this blazer).

I bought the denim jacket in Paris after seeing it online from &Other Stories, so glad I was able to try it on in the store and make my decision. Denim jackets never go out of style and only get better with age.

JEANS

My favorite jeans I’ve been wearing on repeat this Spring is these 5 shown here. I ordered everything in my normal size except if there was an ankle-length available then I ordered that.

I did have to get the L’Agence and Sèzane Serge jeans both hemmed to be shorter. The Mother Straight-Leg is probably my most worn out of these 5 styles.

T-SHIRTS

When it comes to t-shirts, I am pretty picky about the ones I choose. I find the brands I used to wear so much no longer have the quality I’ve come to expect.

So, I really only buy t-shirts now from Cuyana and Sèzane. The quality and fit are amazing and the t-shirts have held up well in the wash. I go up a size to a medium in both brands. I don’t like my t-shirts to feel too snug.

The Cuyana tee, I have a black and white. In the Sèzane Conrad, I have black, white, and grey. I also include a striped top as a t-shirt because everyone needs one.

BUTTON DOWNS

A great button-down is essential in any closet during any Season. However, I particularly love to wear them in the spring because they are so easy. I wear my trench over them, with sneakers and jeans and my outfit is complete.

For my button-down shirts, I go with Sèzane in either the Tomboy or Chloe shirt. I also love Everlane button-down shirts as well. This is another example where I don’t love the brands I used to wear for button-downs. However, I have found these 3 specifically ones I’ve been reaching for.

DRESSES

I bought this floral dress in Paris at another favorite French retailer, Ba&sh Paris. I wore it in Paris along with a jacket and sneakers and switched into these shoes at night.

The VIC dress was purchased last Spring but I’ve already worn it a few times this Spring and will continue to wear it through the Summer. Such a great classic staple.

BELTS

A belt is my favorite way to dress up any outfit. It helps to define your waist (making it look smaller) and adds some nice dimension. I wear a belt around my waist with my jumpsuits, blazers, dresses, and wraps.

SHOES

Mostly, I am a sneakers girl wearing my favorite Veja and Isabel Marant. I also purchased these sandals while in Paris and have been wearing them nonstop with jeans, dresses, and pants. They are the perfect sandal height but also add a little with the touch of gold vs a regular brown sandal.

I also wear these Sèzane mules around the house and to run errands, they are comfy and cute.

BAGS

Bags are my essential accessory in any season. I started out using my darker-colored bags but have since switched over to my lighter-color bags as we get into warmer weather.

I love this classic bucket bag for warmer months along with straw totes as well. I bought this Sèzane tote last year and it’s very roomy and very South of France feeling.
