Parisian Inspired Spring Capsule
Parisian Inspired Spring Capsule
Here’s your Parisian-inspired spring capsule for a new season, containing 22 classic pieces to mix and match for everyday wear this spring season.
Parisians are always among the most timeless and classic examples of wearing pieces over and over and looking chic, it’s all part of that French philosophy about dressing. I look to them when putting together this Parisian-inspired Spring wardrobe capsule.
Dressing like a Parisian and French woman is attainable to anyone, you don’t necessarily need to be French or even live in Paris. I am here to show you how to do this anywhere and at any age.
A capsule collection can help you with this because these are pieces you can wear year after year. No more wondering what to wear every day and getting frustrated with your closet.
Here are 22 pieces to mix and match and to help with your Parisian-inspired Spring wardrobe. This doesn’t mean you only wear these 22 pieces exclusively either. There are other classic pieces to wear and maybe a trend here or there.
However, having pieces narrowed down will help with the selection. I’ve also shared a few ways I would wear the outfits together.
TOPS AND JACKETS
CARDIGAN (Less Expensive Option)
A classic cardigan is always a staple and this Alex Mill Paris cardigan is perfect to wear with jeans or pants and slingbacks or ballet flats. You can either wear this cardigan closed with beautiful gold button detailing or leave it open with a t-shirt or silk cami under.
STRIPE SWEATER
Nothing is more classical French than a striped sweater. This J.Crew Stripe Sweater can easily be worn with jeans or pants and layered under a blazer as well. You can never go wrong with stripes, it’s a French classic.
Linen Blazer (LESS EXPENSIVE OPTION)
A beautiful linen blazer is the perfect classic spring staple. You can wear this J.Crew linen blazer with any shade of denim for a casual yet polished look. Or, wear it with trousers and slingbacks for more of a dressed-up look.
DENIM JACKET
A denim jacket never goes out of style and this year they are longer and belted. So chic for a denim-on-denim look with sneakers or with black jeans and boots. Love this one from MANGO but you can also find them at GAP and Spanx.
WHITE BUTTON DOWN (Less Expensive Option)
A classic white button-down always goes a long way with jeans and flats during Spring. This one in particular from ME+EM is a bit of an investment yet it’s a favorite of mine. It’s more structured and doesn’t ever wrinkle. It’s perfect for travel or layering under blazers or jackets.
Stripe Button Down (LESS EXPENSIVE OPTION)
A poplin stripe button-down from Alex Mill which has just the right stripe of blue. It’s a bit relaxed and perfect to wear with denim.
BLUE BUTTON DOWN
Trade out your white button-down for a blue button-down, like this one from J.Crew. Wear a different style of jeans and sneakers or flats to change it up.
cashmere tee
A relaxed fit cashmere tee from J.Crew, which is perfect for those days when you want to throw on a tee and jeans. This tee is a bit elevated thanks to the cashmere making it easy enough to stand out on it’s own. Wear it casual or dressed up with trousers and a heeled sandal.
SILK CAMI (LESS EXPENSIVE)
My favorite silk camis to wear under blazers, jackets, and cardigans are from Cuyana. They hold up well, fit well, and you can put them in the washer.
TRENCH COAT
The classic coat that I wear all spring long and in between seasons. Besides being a French wardrobe staple, the trench coat, is perfect for layering and easy to wear casually or dressed up. My favorite is the Scott Trench from Sézane but this MANGO trench is also perfect for the season.

Straight-leg denim is highly on-trend this Spring but one of the denim styles Parisians wear all the time. Try this classic pair from Madewell to wear with sandals and slingbacks in spring.

Love this crop denim from Madewell to wear with sandals and heels for spring and into summer.
LINEN TROUSERS
A pair of linen trousers is always a smart option for spring and this pair from J.Crew is perfect. With elongated legs and a flare bottom, this chic pair in navy, will elevated any outfit for the season. Wear them with a camel colored sandal and white top for an elevated and polished look.

Beautiful slip dress for date nights, afternoon outings, or a vacation. Wear a blazer or denim jacket over it with sandals or sneakers.

SILK SCARF (LESS EXPENSIVE)
I love to wear a beautiful silk scarf in the Spring to dress up a plain tee or lightweight sweater. This investment scarf from YSL has a classic stripe pattern perfect to help add polish to any outfit.

Just finished the “Look Book”. Absolutely loved it and the format for a look book. Still like the format in this post for the capsule. I have so enjoyed your blog because Paris is one of my favorite places of those I have visited. I love your style…so classic and uncluttered!
Thank you, Julie
