French Fridays Week 13

French Fridays

Sault and welcome to French Fridays week 13 where I am sharing everything French that I’ve loved the past week in style, food, beauty, finds, and favorite places in Paris to know.

French Style

Woman wearing navy blazer with straight leg denim, high top white converse, and brown leather bag

I always say it but I love a double denim look with a navy blazer and in my opinion, nobody does it better than French women. It’s so chic yet casual and not too fussy.

The blazer and leather bag elevate the outfit yet the converse shows it’s still casual enough to be worn to morning coffee with friends, lunch, or even a casual kids’ school event.

I saw several women in double denim in Paris on the playground. Casual yet so chic looking and incredibly effortless.

French Beauty

While in Paris, I picked up this beautiful red from Sisley no. 41, Sheer Red Love. It’s a beautiful shade of red, not too bright, but a bit of sheer and gloss. I have learned to appreciate red lips more and more.

I also picked up this Avène body oil at the French pharmacy to try. I love to use body oil, especially during the winter months when my skin is drier.

French Finds

Last week, I picked up this gorgeous interior design book, Parisian By Design, by David Jimenez. It’s so beautiful inside and a definite must for those who dream of living in a grand Parisian apartment. This would make a great gift for your favorite Francophile or interior design lover.

I bought this new handbag in Paris from Sézane and am so excited to use it. I love the texture of the bag and how different it is, yet still classic.

Favorite Places In Paris To Know

La Fontaine de Mars, is a cozy traditional French bistro that’s been around for 30 years. It’s everything you would expect from traditional French cuisine.

If you are looking for a place that’s traditional, reasonably priced, and has great food then add this place to the list. Plus, it’s right near the Eiffel Tower although doesn’t feel touristy at all.

In the warmer months enjoy the outdoor seating which is beautiful but in the Fall and Winter, it’s just as cozy inside.

Be sure to make a reservation.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this edition of French Fridays Week 13.
