French Fridays Week 8
French Fridays
I am excited to share a new series with you, French Fridays. This is French Fridays week 8 where I am sharing everything French that I’ve loved the past week in style, food, beauty, finds, and favorite places in Paris to know.
French Style
Always a classic and chic combination is putting together a long trench coat with a striped sweater over the shoulders. It’s a relaxed yet polished look that I love to recreate.
It’s perfect with a pair of ecru wide-leg denim and black high-top converse for cool fall days to come.
French Recipe
Two of our favorite French finds from Trader Joe’s are these tarte pizzas that we use on nights we don’t want to cook. They are also great to serve when friends are over. Just cut them into little bite-size squares and they are actually a great little snack.
Also, these macarons are also great when you can’t get to Paris for the real ones. You can find them in the freezer section. I always keep a box on hand for a little treat every now and then. Plus, I also pull these out when friends come over. I make a little charcuterie and put a few macarons on the side.
You can see all my favorite Trader Joes French finds in this post here.
French Finds
We are starting to go into the holiday season pretty soon which is just crazy to me. I’ve started thinking about ways to entertain and what I have on hand.
It’s a great time to purchase some beautiful french inspired glasses for holiday entertaining. Two of my favorite french inspired glass collections are the Crate and Barrel French Wine Goblet and for something more vintage the coupe from Williams Sonoma.
I’ll make sure to have some French-inspired holiday entertaining dishes to share with you guys soon.
French Beauty
One of my favorite French beauty brands, Caudalíe is currently having friends and family which gives 25% off sitewide. This is a great time to try out the product if you’ve never tried them before. Use code FRIENDS at checkout until October 10th.
I have been using Caudalíe products for years. The brand is exactly what you would think of when it comes to French beauty, and I love the story behind how the brand started.
Some of my favorite products are the Vinofresh Deodorant, the toner, and the Vinoperfect Serum which helps with dark spots.
While everything is on sale, I am going to try out the new anti-aging line. This 47-year-old face is always looking for new ways to keep those pesky wrinkles at bay. I’ll report back on how the line works for me.
Favorite Places In Paris To Know
The Palace of Versailles is only about a 45-minute train ride from Paris and the perfect day trip. If you are looking for a great getaway from the city, I couldn’t recommend Versailles more.
With its majestic rooms, elaborate decor, and incredible gardens there’s something for everyone to enjoy. There are several restaurants to eat at in the palace like Angelina’s.
Our favorite way to explore Versailles is with Fat Bike Tours which we did this past summer with our 9-year-old daughter. You get to bike into the town of Versailles and visit the market where you pick up all your essentials for a picnic on the grounds.
Then you spend the day biking around the incredible grounds of Versailles. Be prepared to be blown away by the immense beauty. I came away with so much inspiration from the interiors of the palace.
Hope you’ve enjoyed this edition of French Fridays Week 8.
