How To Wear White Denim The French Way

It’s no secret that French women are the epitome of chic and classic when it comes to fashion. They seem to have that effortless way about them, admired by many, including myself. Today, I share 6 ways to wear white denim the French way.

I am also joined by several friends who are showing how they wear white denim, so if the French way isn’t for you, make sure to check out their posts.

My Favorite Way To Wear White Denim The French Way

One of my favorite ways to wear white denim is with a lightweight sweater, navy blazer, and sandals or boots. It’s elevated and chic with the navy blazer yet still casual as well.

What Styles Of White Denim Do French Women Wear

There are 4 main styles of white denim which French women wear during the spring and summer seasons. As always, they tend to stay away from jeans with rips or holes and any sort of embellishments.

Go for a pair of white denim that complements your silhouette. I like to wear flare legs because they help to elongate the leg.

The 4 main styles which Parisian women prefer are straight leg, flare, wide leg, and cropped wide leg.

7 White Denim Outfits The French Way

Here are 7 ways to wear white denim the French way. Classic, timeless, and chic for the summer season. These are meant to help inspire and create your own vision of how to wear white denim.

White Button Down + Denim + Brown Sandals + Market Tote

Wear an all-white look with your favorite white button-down top, white denim, brown sandals, and a market tote. For a warm-weather look, you could choose a cotton button-down or timeless linen like this one from J.Crew.

Black Tee + Denim + Slingbacks + Leather Bag

How to Wear White Denim With Black Tee and Slingbacks.

A simple yet chic way to wear your white denim is with a favorite black t-shirt, slingbacks, and a leather bag. I love the front pockets on this pair of white denim, which are super chic.

The black T-shirt from ATM is an investment but worth it. I wear a medium in this specific style.

My favorite Chanel dupe slingbacks are this pair from Vaneli and the Barton from Tuckernuck.

Navy Top + Denim + Bucket Bag + Slides

Navy and white look incredibly chic together. Navy always elevates any outfit, especially a white pair of flare denim. Add brown textures through a handbag and mules.

Lightweight Sweater + Denim + Gold Sandals + Bucket Bag

Brown linen top with white denim and gold sandals.

Gold sandals are one of my favorite shoes to wear with white denim. They help to dress up the jeans while still keeping the look a bit casual. My favorite is the Gloria Sandals from Sézane.

Chambray Shirt + Denim + Clogs + Panier

Chambray top with white denim and clogs.

I love the look of this chambray top, which is light and airy, worn with a pair of skinny flare denim. Add a chic pair of clogs, like these from Sézane, and a woven tote from Banana Republic.

Striped Top + Denim + Black Slides + Market Bag

Stripe Top With White Denim for french look.

Of course, the quintessential striped top is always a classic and chic option to wear white denim, the French way. Go for a short sleeve like this one or a long sleeve option like this one.

Add in a pair of black slides and a cool and raffia tote, for a complete Parisian look.
