Outfit Ideas For Paris In Spring

Outfit ideas to wear to Paris during spring.

April in Paris is one of my favorite times to visit the city. The flowers are blooming everywhere, terraces are starting to fill up, and the city comes alive again after winter. Today, I am sharing 7 outfit ideas to wear in Paris during the Spring season. Every month, I create monthly packing lists to help inspire those traveling to Paris. My goal is to always look chic, classic, timeless, and a bit like a local.

All of these outfits are for inspiration and to help provide you with ideas on classic pieces to pack. A lot of the pieces are investment items because I often choose to invest more in quality pieces, that I will have for years to come.

I have included links to each piece I am wearing as well as additional pieces that are similar and a less expensive price point.

If you would like to see more outfit inspiration for Paris be sure to look at the monthly packing lists as well as my Parisian street style over the years, and the everyday Parisian street style.

Trench Coat + Button Down + Black Pants + Scarf + Ballet Flats

For trips to the museum and other excursions, go with this easy yet classic pant and trench coat outfit. I am wearing the Sézane Clyde Trench, size down 2 for the perfect fit, Sézane Austin Trousers in my normal size.

Under the trench, I am wearing a classic white button down from J.Crew, ballet flats, and carrying a leather tote. Around my shoulders, I’ve added my silk YSL scarf, to look polished and classic.

Denim Jacket + T-shirt + Trousers + Scarf + Ballet Flats

A casual and relaxed daytime look, you could easily swap the pants out for black trousers or wide leg denim. I am wearing a denim Sézane jacket in medium, with a J.Crew vintage t-shirt underneath.

I always like to add a leather belt to my outfits because I feel it helps them look a bit more polished and put together. The ballet flats are classic and very French looking and I’ve added a vintage scarf I picked up in Paris a few years ago.

Dark Denim + Silk Cami + Navy Pinstripe Blazer + Gold Sandals

Navy blazer with dark denim and gold sandals for outfit inspiration for Paris in spring.

For the times when I have an evening event but don’t want to wear a dress or skirt, I prefer to wear a pair of dark denim. Dark denim is a bit more dressy and than a regular blue wash pair of denim.

Here, I am wearing my favorite J.Crew Skinny Flare Denim in my regular size, a silk cami from Cuyana in small. And, to layer, I am wearing a navy pinstripe blazer from a store in Paris.

I always like to pack my Sézane Gloria Sandals because they are incredibly chic and help to elevate any outfit. They are great when you don’t necessarily want to wear a super high heel but want some lift with your outfit. These are one of my go to shoes to wear with dark denim and dresses.

Trench Coat + Button Down + Dark Denim + Sneakers + Tote

Outfit ideas for Paris in spring wearing a trench coat,

For the days when you will be sightseeing and walking the city a lot during the day, go with comfortable sneakers, a pair of denim, white button down, and trench coat to keep you warm.

I am wearing the Sézane Scott Trench, (I sized up one to wear sweaters underneath) , in a size 8. A button down from J.Crew in my normal size, AGOLDE dark denim in my regular size, and one of my favorite sneakers VEJA.

Whatever sneaker brand you go with, just make sure they are comfortable enough to walk miles and miles. Paris is a city full of cobblestone streets so you want to make sure you are prepared.

Black Denim + Stripe Cardigan + Wool Blazer + Two Tone Pumps

I never travel to Paris without taking some sort of stripe top and this J.Crew Lady Jacket is perfect. You can easily layer it with a t-shirt or silk cami or leave it buttoned up. I sized up in this cardigan as it does run a bit small.

On the bottom, I am wearing the Everlane Sailer Jean in black in my normal size. If you want them to fit a bit snug, I suggest sizing down. Here, I am wearing two tone pumps, but if it’s a day where I am doing a lot of walking, I would switch these to my ballet flats.

You never know what the weather in Paris will be in April so I always pack a wool coat or blazer of some sort. This wool blazer makes it easy to either layer or wear by itself with a t-shirt or sweater.

Trench Coat + Denim Top + T-shirt + Denim + Sandals + Scarf + Market Tote

Double denim look to wear to Paris in Spring.

I love a denim on denim look, which is very French by the way, so I always pack a denim top and bottoms to wear together one day. I broke this denim on denim look up a bit by wearing a colored scarf and lighter trench coat.

Whenever I travel to Paris in spring or summer, I make sure to always pack a market tote, this one here is from Sézane.

Tweed Jacket + Flare Denim + Gold Sandals

Outfit idea to wear in Paris during the spring for dinner.

For dinners out, I would go with this short cropped black tweed jacket, flare bottoms, and gold sandals. This tweed jacket is a complete investment item, but I know it’s one I will wear for years. The jacket is exactly my style and a piece I will continuously reach for.

The flare denim are a pair I’ve had for years that I love to wear when I have something shorter on top or a silk top tucked in.

  1. I love your style and look forward to all of your outfits. Do you have any outfit suggestions for casual stay-at-home moms? Even though I stay home and homeschool my kids, I still would like to dress nice but not too fru fru, lol.

    1. Hi Crystal! Thank you so much. I always think a nice cashmere sweater from J.Crew or quince and a pair of denim are a great option. Nice and casual. Do you have a favorite pair of denim or even trousers you like to wear? Find some easy tops to go with those? Lightweight short sleeve sweaters, button down blouses, are great pieces. Madewell has great relaxed denim and tops as well as J.Crew, Quince, and even Everlane are all great places to look!

  2. Thank you loving your emails. We are off to Europe for 2 months and ending up in Paris for 10 days at the end of June early July – any clothing tips please for those months?

    1. Hi Tanya! Thank you so much! Yes, I will have packing lists for both of those months coming in the next few weeks! Linen will be your friend 🙂
      Have a great day,
