However, the weather in Paris during the fall can be unpredictable, so today, I am rounding up 12 outfit ideas for you to wear in Paris in the fall.

What To Wear In Paris In The Fall

When traveling to Paris in the fall, stick with chic basics in neutral colors. This way, you can maximize your outfits.

Depending on how many days you stay in Paris, you can easily pack a capsule wardrobe in packing cubes to help with outfit selection.

Don’t forget to pack layering pieces as well, like camis and long-sleeve tees, to keep you warm and cozy.

Trench Coat + Sweater + Trousers

For days in Paris, when you’re heading to a museum or lunch and want to look polished, wear trousers with a sweater and trench coat. Short trench coats are stylish again this season, but any classic trench will do as a Paris fall outfit.

To finish the look, wear a classic pair of black and ecru slingbacks with a silk scarf. Try slingback options from French Sole, Margaux, Vaneli, and Veronica Beard.

Blazer + Turtleneck + Wide Leg Denim

One outfit that will never go out of style in Paris is a classic houndstooth or plaid blazer, turtleneck, and wide-leg denim. This versatile and classic outfit is the perfect one to pack for Paris. You can wear it for any occasion, whether it be walking in the city or a day of shopping.

Trench Coat + Sweater + Trousers

One example of a simple yet classic Paris fall outfit or even one for spring is the trench coat with a sweater, pair of pants, and sneakers.

The basket bag is optional and would be more suited for the spring season.

However, I have seen them used in early fall as well. If you’re not using a basket bag, switch it out for a crossbody or tote.

Blazer + Cashmere Scarf + Denim

A cashmere scarf paired with a blazer, denim, and boots is a simple and easy look for the day. I like to always pack a cashmere or silk scarf blend because you never know when it will come in handy.

Plus, your scarf can also act as an accessory to finish off your outfit for the day. Wear a short or long scarf, depending on your preference. I love to wear a longer scarf like this one from Longchamp or this version from Aritzia.

Black Dress + Boots

When you want to channel your inner Audrey Hepburn, go with an LBD or little black dress. These are perfect for nights out with tights and booties or even knee-high boots. During fall, you could wear a shorter version of an LBD or a longer version, like a black slip dress with a leather jacket.

Stripe Sweater + Denim + Ankle Boots

It might be a cliche, but a striped sweater is always an excellent choice to wear in Paris during the fall. Go with a cashmere or wool version to keep you warm. Wear it with a pair of denim or pants and sneakers or boots.

This is a low-key yet classic Paris fall outfit look for a day or evening or a night out at a favorite café. I wouldn’t wear this sweater to a fancy dinner but keep it more for relaxed days and evenings.
